Well
Having dropped out after 1 yr of HS I guess 20 of the 100 isn't bad.
I'm always curious how they come up with what is on the "List"
With things changing over time and new writers coming on the scene someone has to make the choice of what to bump and what to keep.
I'd be interested to see the break
up by ages and level of education(me for example: all of my 20 I read because I wanted too,not for school).
I don't know what this says about me other then I have varied interests.
Lists are always silly because so much of it is subjective(is Grapes Of Wrath or Mice and Men more significant?) but I always find them interesting and a great topic for conversation.
That is my take, be interesting to get others as well.
My list as you can see,all over the place!
The Lord Of The Rings*
The Bible
1984
Catch 22
The Hobbit*
Catcher In the Rye
Gone With The Wind
The Great Gatsby
War and Peace
Grapes Of Wrath*
Animal Farm
The Da Vinci Code*
Dune*
A Tale Of Two Cities
Of Mice and Men
Lolita
Moby Dick
The 5 People you meet in Heaven
Heart of Darkness
A Confererancy of Dunces
Just posted mine. thanks for the idea!
We only have a few in the "love" category in common, which is strange. Maybe I'll pick up a few of your loves next time I need a new book...
